Frequently Asked Questions
Q I have a piece of land. Do I need planning permission to put a Log Cabin on it?
A Generally planning permission will be required because our log cabins provide self-contained accommodation. However, there are situations where a Local Authority may agree to siting a log cabin under the rules of Permitted Development. We can offer planning consultancy as part of the package

Q Is it possible to make alterations to existing floor plans?
A Yes, because each log cabin can be bespoke totally meeting a customers requirements

Q How much access is needed for delivery?
A Required access will vary depending upon the size of log cabin. A twin log cabin (such as the Kingfisher) is delivered in two halves on low loader lorries. Approximate height clearance is around 4.8 metres and width clearance is 4.6 metres. We will always ensure that sufficient access is available before an order is confirmed.

Q How are the Log Cabins heated?
A Our standard specification includes full central heating by combination boiler with radiators and with either a gas or electric fire.

Q Can I have a Log Cabin in my garden?
A Generally permission may be granted for a log cabin within the curtilage of the garden for use as a Granny Lodge. However, we do urge caution as there may be mitigating circumstances that may influence this. We recommend we help and advise you on this matter.

We are able to, should you require, provide a complete ‘turn-key’ service, including planning consultancy, delivery, siting, connections to mains services and final commissioning.
