The first question you will be asking yourself is ‘Do I need planning permission?’
Planning needs are wholly determined by the intended use of a log cabin and where it is to be sited. Generally planning permission will be required but there are circumstances, such as extended family use etc, where a Local Authority may agree to the siting of a log cabin under the rules of Permitted Development. Planning is a specialist subject with very specific rules and we recommend caution and the use of professional advice on the matter. We can offer planning consultancy as part of the package offered by The Lodge Supply Company. |
